Problematically, after clicking "Ok" once, Mac OS saves that response for the future, so just uninstalling SB Command and reinstalling won't fix the problem because it'll just reuse the saved response without asking you again. Once in the "Security & privacy" settings, there's an "Allow" button that grants Creative the right to install the necessary audio driver. However, that "Ok" actually meant do not grant the additional security permissions: there was a second option, "Open security & privacy", that we needed to click instead in order to actually grant those permissions. The main problem here is that you, like me, probably quickly clicked "Ok" during installation when you got a system popup asking you if you'd like to grant the installer additional security permissions. While not dangerous, it probably does require you be a little comfortable with computers. Be warned: fixing this requires wiping some kernel extensions by rebooting the computer into recovery mode. Creative now has instructions on their website in order to resolve this.
